I’m a big believer of flavor when it comes to Mexican food. Today I had Al Pastor burrito and it was excellent. I made some changes and asked for frijoles del olla instead of refried, pastor, no rice, cilantro and onions. First, the flour tortilla was so soft and the pastor very flavorful. I asked for green Chile on the side. That was excellent too.Not spicy at all but packed flavor. I’m definitely going back.

Friendly service, seating is limited. Have family over? Bring your own oya for cheaper priced menudo or pozole. Their tamales are Red green pork or chicken sweets Strawberry or corn. Cafe De Oya con Canela, nough said!

Las Villanas is a true gem — a family-run restaurant where you immediately feel welcomed. Both the cook and the waitress were incredibly kind and patient, making the whole experience feel personal and genuine. The highlight of my meal was the red mole: rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, just the right depth of flavor. To top it off, I washed it down with a refreshing pepino y limón agua fresca. Crisp, cool, and perfectly balanced, it was the ideal complement to the meal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and you can tell this is a place built on love for food and community. I left not only satisfied but also grateful for the hospitality. Highly recommend Las Villanas for anyone looking for authentic, heartfelt Mexican food.

Great food. Great people. Good prices. Family run place with only a few tables and small parking lot (shared with 7-11 next door). Staff very helpful. Food was hit, fresh and delicious. Enough said.

The food is truly exceptional. I have been coming here since they opened 5 years ago!!! It’ like home made Mexican food. I recommend it highly, and I was born in Mexico!

While visiting a family member in Montebello we decided to get something to eat and found this place. The moment we walked in, it felt as if I was walking into my Tia's or Moms house. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and seated. The menu is very extensive with many Mexican favorites. I ordered Menudo and Huevos rancheros. The moment the huevos rancheros were placed on the table, I smelled the beans, rice and the ranchero sauce. I immediately knew it was going to be delicious. I was not disappointed. One of the best I’ve had. The menudo was exceptional, fresh with very little fat and chunky pieces of meat. I also ordered a Carnitas taco which was also amazing. At this point my taste buds were so Wowed that I wanted to try all their dishes. There are many Mexican restaurants that have the same basic Mexican favorites on their menu, and it raises the questions as to why some taste better than others. Why do beans and rice, huevos rancheros or menudo in this case, taste better, after all, they are made with the same basic ingredients. The answer is simple, as my mother always said “Es echo con Amor”. The food is made with Love.

I have been here 3-4 times and it hits every time. Super cozy, small, and so so so comforting. Especially on a Cold day. The pozole rojo made me want to cry how comforting and delicious it was. Huge portion with all the fixings. The tamales I took to go (chicken and pork) were also super delicious, moist, flavorful— all without being overwhelmingly fatty or greasy or salty. The service is friendly and sweet. I am an Asian girl and I still felt so at home here. Parking is limited in a mall next to 7-11, but worth the patience.
